Pleasure to meet you — I’m Guido from Hansman Fotografeert, a wedding photographer based in Emmen. My approach to wedding photography revolves around one thing: time and attention. Your day is unique and I look for the genuine moments and small details that together tell the story of your marriage. I work calmly and respectfully with the atmosphere of the day, so you can enjoy while I photograph. My style is natural and narrative. I play with light and composition and use perspective to give visual form to emotions: an intimate look, an unexpected smile, sunlight through a window. For me, perspective is not only the camera’s viewpoint but also which story we want to show — that’s something I always ask you about during our first meeting. The connection between us matters; often you’ll sense at the first conversation whether it feels right. And yes, the coffee will be ready. How I work: we start with a no-obligation introductory meeting where we discuss style, locations and your wishes. On the wedding day I work purposefully but unobtrusively: I make space for spontaneous moments and capture enough wide and detail shots so you can relive the day afterward. After the shoot I take care of selection and post-processing so the atmosphere and colours remain true to the moment. If it suits you, I’m happy to combine wedding photography with additional imagery. Besides wedding photography, I have experience in video and aerial photography (drone), so we can consider whether a short film or aerial footage would complement your reportage. That’s bespoke and we’ll discuss it in advance. I primarily work in Emmen and the North of the Netherlands, but I’m happy to travel further if your location requires it.
