I’m Jurgen from C’est la Vie Photographie — a wedding photographer based in Almere Stad. For me, wedding photography isn’t about perfect poses but about how your day felt. I capture moments as they happen: a nervous laugh while getting ready, that priceless look during the ceremony, or a spontaneous dance later in the evening. My style is calm, natural and attentive: images that move you now and become even more valuable over time. Why do couples choose me? Because I pay attention to the whole story. From our first conversation I look for what matters to you: the mood, the location, the flow of the day. I give subtle direction when needed, but most importantly I leave room for spontaneity. Many couples later tell me they almost forgot I was there — and that shows in photos that feel authentic. I prefer working outdoors, with a love for natural light and the surroundings. Whether we photograph in Almere, elsewhere in Flevoland or beyond, I seek locations and moments that enhance your day. Together with Marieke — who sometimes assists as a second photographer or content creator — we deliver a complete record. Marieke can also capture short video moments and atmospheric clips, a perfect complement to your photo album. Technical reliability matters to me as much as atmosphere. I always bring backups, use dual storage during the shoot and secure additional backups afterward. You’ll receive a personal sneak preview shortly after the wedding, followed by a carefully edited album: tangible memories you’ll want to open again and again. Sustainability is part of our work: at weddings we give back to nature through Trees for All or Staatsbosbeheer. That way, alongside your memories, something lasting grows in the landscape.
