As a wedding photographer based in Lelystad, my work revolves around one simple mission: making your love and memories tangible. I’m Sandra Smienk and I document your wedding day in a way that suits who you are — pure, loving and relaxed. I don’t look for perfect poses but for real moments: a glance, a laugh, a tear or a spontaneous gesture that later tells your story exactly as it happened. My style is documentary and close. I feel most at home at small, intimate ceremonies where the connection between you is central. On those days I work in the background: attentive and involved, but never directing. That creates space for natural interactions and spontaneous images in which you truly recognise yourselves. As a photographer I pay attention to atmosphere, light and the small details that later become priceless. How do I work? We start with a no-obligation meet-and-greet — just a relaxed conversation to see if there’s a click. That personal connection matters to me; you should feel comfortable with the person standing beside you on such an important day. On the wedding day itself I create a calm atmosphere, give gentle guidance for portraits when needed, and otherwise let the moments unfold. My goal is that you enjoy the day and that the photos hold onto that feeling. I mainly work in Lelystad and Flevoland, but I’m happy to travel to your favourite location elsewhere in the Netherlands. Whether it’s a small town hall, a garden party or an intimate ceremony in the woods — I’ll be where your love is. After the day I provide careful editing, with attention to a timeless and warm look so the images can be cherished for years.
