Hi! I’m Daniël from Shot By Sylla, a wedding photographer based in Lelystad. My love for photography began outdoors, and I bring the same attention to light, timing and composition to my wedding photography. As a wedding photographer I focus on natural, reportage-style images: no forced poses, but moments that make you feel like you’re right back there. What sets me apart is a keen eye for timing and atmosphere. Like event photography, a strong wedding reportage is about the right moment and the right light. With years of experience — including studies at a photography school and work at festivals and events — I know exactly when to press the shutter so an image comes to life. I shoot with Canon and carefully edit in Lightroom and Photoshop to make your wedding photos subtle and timeless. My approach is calm and unobtrusive; I want you to enjoy your day without constantly worrying about the camera. At the same time I stay alert to capture spontaneous emotions, small gestures and the dynamics of the day. For couples who prefer a more personal touch, I offer relaxed engagement shoots — perfect for getting to know each other and discussing your style before the big day. We prepare the reportage together: a short introductory meeting, discussing your wishes and the day’s schedule, and if needed scouting locations in Lelystad or nearby. On the wedding day I work with respect for the flow of your celebration and your guests, always paying attention to detail and composition.
