I am Raoul van Meel — a wedding photographer based in Beuningen, working across Nijmegen, Arnhem and the rest of Gelderland. After photographing more than 300 weddings I know how to capture your story without disrupting the natural flow of the day. My style is pure, soft and emotional: I look for those small, genuine moments — a glance, hands clasped, a laugh or a tear — and edit those images into timeless wedding photos. Why do couples choose me? Because I am personal and engaged. I take the time to get to know you in a no-obligation introductory meeting, listen to your wishes and advise on planning and locations. On the wedding day I am conspicuously unobtrusive: present where it matters, in the background where possible. That approach allows you to enjoy your day while I document the memories. My working method is practical and warm. We discuss the schedule, possible locations for an engagement shoot and your personal preferences beforehand. During the reportage I work with attention to light, composition and emotion — using my experience to maintain calm and overview even in busy moments. If you wish, I can bring a second photographer, but I often shoot the wedding on my own; this keeps the reportage personal and consistent. After the wedding you will receive carefully edited images that reflect the feeling of the day. I deliver photos that really move you and still touch you years later. Besides digital files, it is important to me that your memories become tangible; I’m happy to help design an album or prints so the images have a beautiful place in your home. What drives me is a love of stories and an eye for detail. We have won international awards and I continually invest in quality and post-processing (my signature soft color palette). Because I invest a lot of personal time in each couple, I accept only a limited number of weddings per year — this guarantees attention and calm for your day.
