As a wedding photographer in Maastricht I combine more than 17 years of experience with a personal, creative-documentary approach. My name is Ad Utens and I have photographed over 600 weddings and reports across South Limburg and the surrounding regions. My drive is simple: to make your day truly feel alive in images, so those moments continue to speak even years from now. I call my style “Creative Documentary”: I photograph what happens, paying attention to natural light, the day’s colors and the subtle emotions between people. No staged direction, no awkward poses — instead a relaxed, unobtrusive atmosphere where you can be yourselves. Occasionally I choose understated black-and-white for extra intensity, always with care for detail and composition. I work with two Leica Q3 cameras to capture every important moment in a quiet, refined way. Why do couples choose me? Because I stay close and professional while remaining discreet. I ensure the reportage runs smoothly: from the first meeting to final delivery I build trust and maintain transparency. You receive a personal selection of images; I edit them with care and prepare the photos ready for sharing or printing. Images are presented in a clear online gallery so family and friends can easily enjoy and download them. Although weddings are my core specialty, I also offer LoveShoots — intimate pre-wedding sessions that are ideal for getting comfortable with each other (and with me) before the wedding day. For couples with extra wishes there is the option to combine photography with film as an additional service. I frequently photograph at well-known wedding venues in and around Maastricht and I feel at home in the landscapes, castles and parks of South Limburg. My goal is always the same: to preserve the emotion and story of your day in images that feel authentic and timeless.
