I’m Joyce from Taken by Joy — a wedding photographer based in Breda with a heart for authentic moments and atmospheric bridal photography. My passion is creating wedding reportages that place your story and the emotions of the day front and center. No forced poses, just images that feel like how it really was: pure, warm and relaxed. Why choose me as your wedding photographer? As a specialist in wedding photography I have an eye for small details and spontaneous moments. Whether it’s an intimate ceremony in the woods, boho vibes on the beach or a big celebration with all your family around — I’m social, patient and photograph in a way that helps you and your guests feel at ease quickly. That results in natural images you’ll smile at for years to come. My approach is personal and relaxed. We’ll start with a meeting to discuss your wishes, the timeline and the atmosphere you want to capture. Optionally we can plan a loveshoot (pre-wedding session) so you can get used to the way I work — and so you’ll already have beautiful images for save-the-date cards. On the wedding day I work unobtrusively and in a documentary style; I step in only when needed (for example during group photos or a short posed couple session) and otherwise give space to spontaneous interactions between you and your guests. Light and style play a big role in my work: I prefer to shoot with natural light and I’ll advise on locations and times that enhance the mood of your reportage. Traveling abroad for your wedding? I love to travel and am happy to join you to photograph celebrations outside the Netherlands as well.
