I’m Teun from BestDayEver Photography — a documentary wedding photographer based in Alkmaar who focuses entirely on capturing genuine moments. With more than 400 weddings photographed, I’ve learned how to document a day without staging: no stiff poses, just spontaneous wedding photography that shows the love, connection and emotion of your celebration. My style is joyful, exuberant and colorful. I work unobtrusively: blending in with your guests, keeping my eyes and ears open, and photographing the moments you might not always notice in the moment. The result is a wedding reportage that feels like reliving the day—exactly as it really was. This documentary approach produces images that move you, make you laugh and bring back the atmosphere of the party. Working with couples is personal and calm. We always start with a meet-up (at my studio in Alkmaar or via video call) so we get to know each other and you can tell me what matters most. On the big day I arrive early, work independently and make sure you can relax and enjoy. I only step in more during group photos and the couple session, and even then I give just enough guidance to keep things natural and spontaneous. After your wedding you’ll receive a quick preview and, within a few weeks, the full wedding reportage in a private online gallery. I curate each story so your day is told clearly and lovingly. For a tangible keepsake I also offer elegant handmade wedding albums that showcase the highlights — a beautiful complement to the digital gallery. Although wedding photography is my main specialty, I occasionally photograph family shoots and Day In The Life reportages. I approach these assignments with the same preference for candid, documentary images. However, weddings remain my primary focus and where my experience is strongest.
