As a wedding photographer based in Alkmaar, I specialize in capturing real moments and natural emotion. My background is in street and reportage photography, and those roots shape my approach: I look for the unexpected, the small gestures and the spontaneity that give a wedding day its true character. My style is documentary with room for atmospheric portraits when desired. I work extensively in both black-and-white and color: sometimes a monochrome image tells more, sometimes it’s the colors and the light that do. As a wedding photographer I’m especially drawn to mood, connection and rhythm. I shoot unobtrusively, without directing, but I will step forward when that one portrait of the couple emerges — the image that often becomes the most treasured.
