My name is Sophie de Kort and as a wedding photographer in Amstelveen I document wedding days with a simple mission: to preserve the true atmosphere and spontaneous moments so you can relive them again and again. After studying at the Fotoacademie in Amsterdam (2010), I have worked professionally as a wedding photographer since 2012. Over the years I have photographed more than eighty weddings and I deliberately accept only a small number of weddings each month. This leaves room for attention, personal preparation and a fast delivery. My style is pure, unobtrusive and focused on emotion. I work from observation: a laugh that arises without direction, an unexpected embrace, the small detail that later becomes comfort or a memory. During the day I move as naturally as possible among you and your guests; I give brief guidance when needed for portraits, but I prefer spontaneous imagery that truly reflects your wedding day. Working method and collaboration are central. Beforehand we plan a no-obligation meeting — at your home or at the venue — where I bring sample albums so you get a clear impression of my work and finishing. I like to visit the venue with you in advance so I’m familiar with the light and the spots that produce beautiful, calm images. On the wedding day I am there for the whole day; I don't work with rigid hours but with attention for the full story of your day. Quality and care go hand in hand. Your photos are carefully selected and retouched so color and atmosphere remain true to the memory. For the wedding album there are several high-quality cover materials and a lay-flat binding available — a physical keepsake you can pass down through generations. To protect your privacy I do not actively use social media and will not place photos on my site without your consent. Practical: I always bring backup equipment and sufficient storage and security measures to ensure your reportage is captured safely and completely.
