As a wedding photographer in Amsterdam I document your day from a documentary/journalistic perspective: observing, close but unobtrusive. My style is driven by one principle I apply across all my work: I watch and record things as they are. My background in documentary photography and many years of experience at weddings and events help me quickly recognise where meaningful moments will appear and how to remain unobtrusive while doing so. What makes my approach special is that it’s journalistic and people-focused: no forced poses, but a keen eye for atmosphere, details and the subtle expressions that make a wedding day unique. I prefer to give couples freedom on the day itself — that’s how I can tell the most complete and authentic story. At the same time I pay attention to coherence: from preparations to the party, I bring the day together in images that form a wedding reportage where both the big and small moments are visible. How I work with couples: we meet in advance — often at my studio in Amsterdam — so we get to know each other and you can tell me what matters most to you. On the wedding day I act as a quiet witness; I make myself invisible where needed and step forward when a little direction or contact helps strengthen a moment. After the day I deliver a carefully selected set of wedding photos, with thoughtful post-processing to preserve the mood and emotion of your day.
