I specialise in wedding photography in Amsterdam and I am fascinated by the power of genuine moments. My approach to wedding reportage is honest and unobtrusive: I record what I see and interfere as little as possible. That means no excessive posing, but attention to faces, glances and the small rituals that make your day unique. What sets me apart is the blend of documentary sensitivity and a strong sense of composition. Because I also work a lot in reportage and documentary photography, I quickly spot where the emotion lies and which details complete the story. My wedding reportages therefore leave room for spontaneous images as well as composed portraits — photographs you will later recognise as your own memories. Collaboration starts with a good conversation. Beforehand we discuss your expectations, the atmosphere of the Amsterdam location and the moments that matter most to you. On the wedding day itself I work as unobtrusively as possible: I look for natural interactions and press the shutter only when they truly mean something. My aim is that you do not constantly feel the presence of the photographer, but later look back and think: “those are exactly our memories.” Practical and involved: I am flexible, experienced with a variety of lighting conditions and able to switch quickly between documentary moments and calm portraits.
