Hi, I’m Sarah. I’m the face behind Twenty Twelve Photography, based in Haarlem. As a wedding photographer my mission is not only to document your day, but to create images that amaze, move you and stay with you forever. During your wedding day I combine documentary observation with engaged, warm guidance so you feel at ease — and your wedding photos stay relaxed and authentic. How I work: we start with a meeting — in person or via video — to discuss your story, wishes and the day’s schedule. On the day itself I provide a calm presence; I ask gentle questions, give subtle directions when helpful, and let the most beautiful moments speak for themselves. After the reportage I carefully select and edit the images so the colors, atmosphere and emotion remain true to the day. The result is a coherent wedding reportage that preserves the essence of your celebration. My focus is on wedding photography and wedding reportage — that’s where my heart is. Occasionally I also photograph portraits and maternity sessions; that experience helps me capture relationships and intimacy during weddings, but my specialization remains the wedding day. I photograph regularly in and around Haarlem and feel at home in intimate urban locations as well as countryside venues.
