I’m Astrid — a wedding photographer based in Hilversum with a passion for bridal photography and honest wedding reportage. My photographic style focuses on spontaneity: those small, unexpected moments between the planned highlights are the ones I value most. My aim is to capture your wedding day exactly as it felt, so you can return to those emotions and connections again and again. As a wedding photographer I work with attention to detail and a calm, unobtrusive presence. I love photographing discreetly during ceremonies and receptions, while being fully present for the intimate moments — a grandfather’s glance, a spontaneous laugh, or a tender embrace. That approach produces wedding photos that don’t feel forced but truly tell your story. My process always begins with an introductory meeting. It’s important to me that you feel comfortable; that’s why we’ll arrange a conversation or an engagement/pre-wedding shoot so we can get to know one another and you can experience how I work. Many couples choose a pre-wedding session to practice in front of the camera and enjoy the golden hour — beautiful images and less tension on the wedding day itself. On the day I provide a warm, professional presence. I’ll guide short posed moments when needed, and otherwise focus on documentary, spontaneous imagery. After your day I deliver a carefully edited wedding reportage via an online gallery, making it easy to share and preserve your images. What drives me is the story of your day: two people consciously choosing each other, surrounded by family and friends. I photograph with a love for atmosphere, light and emotion, using my experience to capture those precious moments.
