My name is Pim de Vries; since graduating from the Fotovakschool in Amsterdam in 2005 I have worked wholeheartedly as a freelance photographer. Wedding photography is my primary specialization: I focus on capturing real emotions, spontaneous moments and the small details that make your day unique. My approach is personal and relaxed. Before the big day I like to meet with you to get to know one another, exchange ideas and find out what matters most to you. That preparation ensures everything on the wedding day flows naturally: no stiff poses, but a mix of warm documentary moments and beautiful, timeless portraits. In this way a wedding reportage is created that you will want to look back on again and again. I work with care for light, atmosphere and composition and largely let the day remain as it is—while guiding where necessary to create beautiful images. My experience with parties, events and portrait work helps me quickly build trust and create a relaxed atmosphere for you and your guests. Respect for privacy and a sense of discretion are a given; photos are handled with care and only shared with your permission.
