As a wedding photographer from Deventer I — Carola Doornbos — turn your wedding day into images you can relive again and again. Wedding photography is my greatest passion: since 2011 I have been documenting weddings with a warm, creative eye and a preference for a natural, documentary style. My approach is centred on authenticity; I look for small, unforced moments and make sure you feel at ease so emotions and spontaneity can surface naturally. Why choose me as your wedding photographer? I combine a keen eye for composition with a calm, unobtrusive presence. This creates room for authentic photos — from intimate glances to the lively atmosphere of the celebration — without you feeling like you must pose constantly. Clients appreciate that I pay attention to details (light, mood, emotion) and that I can work smoothly with children and handle unexpected situations during the day. How I like to work: we begin with a personal meeting — preferably over coffee — where we discuss your wishes, the timeline and any special attention points. This builds trust and ensures you know what to expect. On the wedding day I'm present in the background to follow the story of your day. During the ceremony and reception I work documentary, and for portraits we take our time to create relaxed, atmospheric images that really reflect who you are. After the wedding I carefully select, edit and retouch the images so each photograph shows the right emotion and colour. In addition to full wedding reportages I also shoot loveshoots (engagement or pre-wedding shoots) — a lovely way to get to know each other and feel comfortable in front of the camera before the big day. I work from Deventer and travel across the Netherlands; I also have experience with assignments abroad.
