Julia Photography specialises in wedding photography and operates from Kampen (IJsselmuiden) with one clear mission: to capture your story so that you relive it again and again. As a wedding photographer I focus on spontaneity, feeling and the real life between the big moments. My style seeks out emotion, colour contrasts and beautiful compositions—so your photos become not only memories but images you will return to time and again. My background as a graduate of the Fotovakschool (2016) and a deep love for colour and styling (informed by earlier studies in colour and interior) means I don’t just take pictures—I craft a visual story. In over ten years I have photographed more than 200 couples; that experience has taught me to work with calm and confidence, even on busy days. I am a visual thinker and translate what I hear and see directly into images—with attention to detail and atmosphere. What makes my approach special? I work sensitively and unobtrusively during the moments that truly matter, and I take active time for portraits and styling when you want them. My starting point is always: you as you are. That means space for spontaneity, but also attention to the small moments—the looks, the tears, the laughter. I consciously work with colours and styling so the reportage becomes a cohesive whole that suits your day. How I collaborate with you: we begin with a no-obligation introductory meeting to learn about your wishes and see if there’s a good fit. Many couples also choose an engagement or "loveshoot" before the day: a relaxed way to get to know each other and to feel comfortable in front of the camera. On the wedding day my calm working method lets you enjoy the day while I document it. Afterwards I carefully edit the images so the final wedding reportage reflects the atmosphere and emotion of your day. Although wedding photography is my speciality, I occasionally take on family and portrait shoots—my focus remains on wedding reportages and documenting wedding days photographically.
