I am Marije Jellema — a wedding photographer based in the Kampen/IJsselmuiden area with a genuine eye and heart for people. Since 2014 I have been documenting wedding days with a warm, documentary approach: close, natural and always searching for that special light. I love chasing the golden hour and shooting in nature and wide landscapes, but a gritty industrial location can also produce stunning images in the right light. My approach is personal — I’ll help think through locations, timing and clothing, and I’ll support you in staying relaxed so natural moments can unfold. How I work: we start with an introduction where we discuss your wishes and ideas. I often give tips on the best times and most beautiful spots (I know many great locations across the Netherlands) and I can advise on styling and outfits. On the day itself I work documentarily: I capture the real moments — laughter, tears, silences and small gestures — and when needed I give subtle direction to make the most of composition and light. I also offer couples loveshoots and pre-wedding sessions; for those who want an ultra-intimate wedding I have a dedicated elopement approach where I support your day from start to finish. Post-processing matters to me as much as shooting. I deliver images with character: realistic colours, increased contrast where it suits the mood, and sometimes subtle black-and-white to emphasise pure emotion. You’ll receive a personalised online gallery within a few weeks, and I’m happy to assist with prints, fine art albums and wall art — I work with top suppliers to make those special images tangible.
