I’m Arne van der Ben, a wedding photographer based in Bodegraven with a strong focus on capturing authentic moments. I started photographing in 2015 and went professional in 2018, developing a style centered on attention to small details and the ability to catch spontaneous emotion. As a wedding photographer I don’t look for posed images but for the genuine, unmistakable moments that give your day character and meaning. My approach is personal and calm: I like to take the time to get to know you before the wedding — through an introductory meeting, a phone call or a video chat — so I understand which moments you value most. That preparation ensures I’m present where it matters during the ceremony and the celebration, while remaining unobtrusive. Whether I’m hired as the lead photographer or as a second shooter, my priority is the same: to capture what happens honestly, respectfully and reliably. Attention to detail is a hallmark of my work. My background in sports photography gave me a good sense of timing and dynamics; that helps me create the one wedding photo where emotion, composition and light come together. I take care in my post-processing and deliver images in an accessible way so family and friends can easily view and download them. In addition to wedding photography, I’m happy to shoot engagement sessions — a great way to get comfortable together in a relaxed setting before your big day.
