I’m Femke, the photographer behind Goldleaf Pictures — specialised in wedding photography and narrative wedding reports. What drives me is capturing real emotions: that unexpected laugh, tears of joy, or the light filtering through the trees on your day. My work is characterised by a warm, timeless style and a particular fondness for celebrations set in green surroundings: country estates, greenhouses, gardens and the beach all feel like home to me. As a wedding photographer I work with a clear goal: to document your day as honestly and completely as possible. I shoot primarily in a documentary way — moving unobtrusively among guests so everyone can relax and enjoy — but I also like to schedule a short moment for beautiful portraits of the two of you. During those shoots I give simple, practical directions so you appear natural and at ease, without forced poses. My approach is personal and approachable. We begin with a meet-and-greet in which I learn about your plans and wishes and advise on the timeline and lighting. On your wedding day I’m involved but discreet; I pay attention to details, styling and the small moments that later form the narrative of the day. After the wedding I take care of secure backups and careful, loving editing. I personally edit every photo so the mood, tones and colours feel just right — consistent, authentic and true to the day. You’ll receive a curated gallery with high-resolution images suitable for prints, albums and sharing. Based in Capelle aan den IJssel I work frequently across South and North Holland, Utrecht and Gelderland, and I also travel throughout the Netherlands and abroad for special weddings. In addition to wedding reports I offer loveshoots — ideal as a pre-wedding session or to capture your loving moments for invitations — though my main focus and expertise remain wedding photography.
