I am Henke Karelse, a wedding photographer based in Hellevoetsluis. I specialize in documenting weddings with a natural, timeless look. I work exclusively with natural light and aim to capture the real emotions and spontaneous moments of your day—without unnecessary fuss, but with attention to composition and color so the images remain meaningful for years to come. On the wedding day itself I work with a mix of documentary observation and directed moments: I stay alert to those priceless looks, small details and unexpected moments, while also making time for relaxed portraits where you feel comfortable. My goal is always the same: images that feel recognisable and genuine. My style focuses on preserving natural colors and light. I enjoy the challenge of working with available light—indoors, in the dunes or on the beach—and often the most authentic, atmospheric photos come from that approach. Images should be timeless; that’s why I edit to enhance without overdoing it, so memories are passed on honestly. During our collaboration I value clear communication and flexibility.
