I am Mariska Kleij — a wedding photographer from Hellevoetsluis with a clear mission: to record your wedding day exactly as it was. As a documentary wedding photographer I work unobtrusively, respecting the natural flow of your day. No forced poses, just moments that happen when you meet, laugh, comfort one another or simply stand quietly together. Those honest moments become the images that bring you back to the feeling of the day time and again. My approach is personal and calm. We start with a no-obligation introduction so we can see how we connect and understand what matters to you. On the day itself I work discreetly: I look for the light, notice the little details and only give brief directions when needed. With my certification in Moment Design I gently create opportunities for real interaction through small prompts and playful tasks—so you soon forget the camera and the most genuine wedding photos emerge. Location and light play a major role in my work. I love shooting outdoors, especially in the dunes and on the beaches of South Holland, but I feel at home wherever your story unfolds. As a member of the Feel It collective I continue to grow and find inspiration by collaborating with other professionals—this shows in the quality and experience of your wedding reportage. After your wedding you’ll receive a preview shortly afterwards; I then carefully edit the full reportage with attention and care. I guide couples in selecting their favourite images during a personal ordering session, where we also explore options for luxury photo products and handmade albums. It’s important to me that these images don’t remain purely digital but find a place in your home—as tangible artwork that repeatedly evokes memories.
