I’m Melissa — also known as Mils — a wedding photographer with a heart for real moments. Based in Krimpen aan den IJssel, I specialise in wedding reportage and wedding photography that focus on genuine emotion and spontaneous interactions. I aim to capture not just the headline moments, but the small, everyday details that make your day uniquely yours: a meaningful glance, a hand resting on a shoulder, the soft light just before the evening meal. Those details are the heart of your story. My approach is relaxed and personal. I like to meet in advance so we can get to know one another and you can feel comfortable in front of the camera. On the wedding day I work calmly and often almost invisibly; I’m looking for honest exchanges and seasonal light that enhances the atmosphere. The result is a collection of images that feel warm, intimate and timeless — photographs you’ll still love to look at twenty years from now. As a wedding photographer I see myself as a storyteller: I want your photos to evoke memories — the smells, the songs and the small details that transport you back to that day. I love cosy, intimate ceremonies and celebrations done “your way,” but I’m comfortable and adaptable in any setting. Whether you’re marrying in the Krimpenerwaard, Rotterdam or elsewhere in the Netherlands, I’m happy to travel and document your day. In addition to photographing the wedding day, I offer engagement sessions (loveshoots) — a lovely way to get used to the camera and practise relaxed moments together.
