I’m Lydia of LYD. Photography, a specialist in wedding photography based in Oegstgeest. For me, a strong wedding reportage goes beyond pretty pictures: it’s about holding on to moments you should be able to feel again later. My style is warm, cinematic and emotive — I look for soft light, natural glances and those small, unforgettable in‑between moments that truly tell your story. I’m naturally observant and a little nostalgic; you’ll notice that in the way I document your day: considered, unobtrusive, and always mindful of composition and atmosphere. Having photographed more than thirty weddings, I know how to create calm amid hectic moments so spontaneous emotion can breathe. My aim is to deliver images that, years from now, still evoke the very same memories and feelings. How I work with couples: I believe in a personal collaboration from the very first contact. We’ll get to know each other — at my studio, by video call, or over a coffee — to see if we click. Before the wedding day I’ll discuss your wishes and help plan the moments that truly deserve to be captured. On the day I’m a committed observer: I’ll guide when needed, but mostly let the day unfold naturally. You’ll receive a carefully curated selection of images showing both intimate details and the broader story of your celebration. Preserving enduring memories is part of the service. Besides digital galleries, I love offering tangible options such as luxury albums designed to last for generations. Photography for me is also about connection: a portion of every wedding booking supports Paam Laafi Hospital in Burkina Faso, a project close to my heart. While my main focus is weddings and wedding reportage, I also photograph loveshoots and lifestyle sessions (family, maternity) to complement my work.
