I am Tom van den Dool — visual creator, photographer and cameraman — and as a wedding photographer in Rijswijk I focus on capturing your wedding day as it truly feels. My approach is curious and unadorned: I aim to be part of the day, to connect with you and your guests, so the best images arise naturally when people are not thinking about the camera. My style is calm, honest and moment-driven. Rather than a long line of posed images, I prefer wedding photography that preserves atmosphere, small gestures and unexpected glances. I work from observation — I see what happens, I react and I shape the images without dominating the day. The result is a wedding reportage that places you back into the emotion of the moment, as if you are reliving the day. How I work: before the wedding we make contact to discuss expectations and to look at locations and the rhythm of the day. On the wedding day itself I work calmly and flexibly; I seek the light and the moments where you dare to be yourselves. Whether it’s intimate portraits, relaxed group pictures or spontaneous moments during the party — I stay close without directing. After the day I carefully select and edit the images so the final series tells a coherent, emotional story. What sets me apart: besides photography I also work as a cameraman and visual storyteller. That experience helps with composition, timing and sensing movement within a story. My background in art projects and reportage work adds depth to how I use light, contrast and mood in wedding photography.
