I am Carola Paas, a wedding photographer based in Rotterdam with a passion for documentary and photojournalistic wedding photography. My focus is on capturing genuine moments: those unguarded glances, unexpected bursts of laughter, and the small details that together tell the story of your wedding day. Whether you choose an intimate ceremony in Rotterdam, an estate wedding, or a destination wedding in Italy or Mallorca (I have experience shooting there), I take the time to understand your story and capture it with attention to composition, light, and emotion. The process is simple and personal. We start with a meeting—often just over a cup of coffee—to discuss your wishes, the day’s schedule, and the atmosphere you envision. On the wedding day I move with the rhythm of the event: photographing details, spontaneous interactions, and the big moments. After the coverage I carefully select and edit the images so you receive a cohesive collection of wedding photographs that preserve the essence of your day. Rotterdam is my home base, but I’m happy to travel to your venue. My working style is often described as warm, sincere, and journalistic; I want you to look back at photos that are not only beautiful but also feel true. In addition to wedding photography, I occasionally shoot family portraits, corporate assignments, events, and maternity sessions — but my specialization and greatest passion is creating wedding reportages.
