As a wedding photographer based in The Hague, I create narrative wedding stories using natural light and a focus on spontaneity. Calm, emotive images that tell the story of your day.
I’m Anne de Rijk, a wedding photographer based in The Hague. My passion is narrative wedding photography: capturing the small, unnoticed moments that truly make your day. With a background as an independent coastal photographer and formal training, I specialise in wedding photography that centres on natural light, composition and a calm approach. I often describe my style as “pure photography” — Taking the moment. I work unobtrusively and in a documentary way so emotions, little smiles and unexpected details appear honestly and spontaneously in the images. Whether we shoot on the beach at Scheveningen, in an urban setting or at a special venue in and around The Hague, I pay attention to colour, tone and depth to give your wedding photos a timeless, warm look. How do I work? First we meet so I can learn your story and wishes. I’m happy to help choose locations and the best times for the light. On the wedding day I’m present as a calm, reliable wedding photographer: observing, selecting the right compositions and capturing both major events and subtle memories — from preparations and the ceremony to candid moments at the reception. My experience in portrait and commercial photography also gives me an eye for environment and styling; this helps create strong environmental portraits of you together. My approach is personal and involved: I give gentle direction when needed, but stay one step back to preserve natural interactions. Choosing me as your wedding photographer means choosing a narrative wedding reportage that honours the uniqueness of your day. I deliver wedding photos that are not only beautiful but also return what was felt. Are you looking for a wedding photographer in The Hague who will capture your day in a relaxed, atmospheric way?
