I’m Nelleke Tieman of Nelleke Photography, based in the Wassenaar area. As a wedding photographer I combine my studies in Photographic Design at the Fotovakschool Amsterdam with experience as a second shooter at Studio Damon. That background has shaped me into a photographer with a spontaneous and bold signature: I look for real moments, genuine emotions and the little details that make your day unique. Why choose me? Because I see wedding photography as more than a collection of images: it’s a wedding reportage where atmosphere and story are central. My approach is calm and unobtrusive — I shoot a lot from a documentary perspective so you can keep enjoying the moment. At the same time, I give clear directions when needed so portraits look relaxed and natural. My aim is that when you look back later you’ll relive the feeling of that day. How I work: we start with a meeting (usually in Leidschendam) to discuss your wishes, style and timeline. That personal connection matters to me; a relaxed relationship leads to better photos. In the preparation I coordinate practical matters: locations, timing and capturing the important moments. On the wedding day I work focused and carefully, always attentive to spontaneous interactions and the small details that enrich a wedding reportage. When desired I bring a fixed second shooter; we often work as a duo and are well in tune with each other — I handle the final editing myself so the reportage keeps a consistent style. What you can expect from me: a personal approach, a creative eye and professional craftsmanship. I love warm, natural images with attention to light, emotion and composition. After the day I carefully select and edit the images; my goal is a cohesive story you’ll proudly share and cherish.
