WIJ Fotografie (Wijgert IJlst) is specialized in wedding photography based in Amersfoort. As a wedding photographer my attention is on what truly happens between you: the small looks, the spontaneous laugh, the silence just before you say "I do." I often recommend a pre-wedding session (a loveshoot): a short, relaxed shoot before the wedding day to get to know each other and the camera. On the day itself I work as a reportage photographer — present but unobtrusive, alert to details and interactions. I look for light, composition and that unique instant when emotion becomes visible. That way I create both atmospheric documentary images of the ceremony and reception and intimate portraits of the two of you. Location and approach: based in Amersfoort, I’m used to photographing at a range of venues across the region — from the historic city centre to outdoor locations like the Soestduinen. My approach is personal and engaged: WIJ (you and I) make the photos together. My goal is not only beautiful images, but also a pleasant memory of the day itself.
